A new man in town

Steamy, hot, sultry
A new man in town ~ he says:
Hi, my name is Earl.

Once upon a time, there was a quiet little village in the French countryside, whose people believed in Tranquilité - Tranquility. If you lived in this village, you understood what was expected of you. You knew your place in the scheme of things. And if you happened to forget, someone would help remind you. In this village, if you saw something you weren't supposed to see, you learned to look the other way. If perchance your hopes had been disappointed, you learned never to ask for more. So through good times and bad, famine and feast, the villagers held fast to their traditions. Until, one winter day, a sly wind blew in from the North...

Well, the wind that might blow into town isn't Johnny Depp playing Roux in Chocolat, a movie I enjoyed.  The wind that's blowing, weakly, is Earl - Hurricane Earl, that is!   He's made NJ into a hot house and, with the chance of rain this afternoon, will most like ramp up the status of hothouse to extreme hothouse!

I'm not sure if that picture is from Chcolat or not.  Doesn't matter - it's easy on the eyes!

It's Haiku my Heart Friday - be sure to head on over to Rebecca's place to taste some delicious  morsels of haiku!

Johnny Dep is HOT HOT HOT and I LOVE Chocolat.

Earl hasn't reached my neck of the woods here in Jersey, but I'm expecting him any minute ; )

It's supposed to be a gorgeous holiday weekend, high seventies/low eightees and NO HUMIDITY! Woot!

Great post! I loved that movie. Thanks for reminding me about the wonderful story! I also love your analogy to Hurricane Earl. Good luck, and hope that it cools down soon!

Delphyne Honey,
I am sorry for the hurricane weather, but I gotta say, you made my day girlfriend. That man has to be the best steamy mcdreamy on the planet. Thank you! I love him and his acting and I adore chocolat. A very good analogy you draw between the wind that blew through that little conservative French town and your New Jersey. Hope all is well!
xoxo,
Noelle

Oh man....Very YUMMY indeed! Here's to wishing Hurrican Earl will die down. We had major flash floods last evening. It poured down rain for two hours straight and the lightning show was AMAZING! This morning however a lot of the roads were flooded out and the creek was way out of its bed. After such a mild spring here- and hot summer...I was in love!

I really liked the movie Chocolat--it is one I think I should own. Yum Yum Johnny Depp and Chocolat together.

In a three line haiku you have packed all this - the hot Dep and Hurricane Earl!

Hard to compete with that photo! I guess with a hurricane bearing down on New Jersey you have to find a better image than rain and wind.
Johnny Depp's personal driver and I were friends back in the old days when I worked in Hollyweird. Never got to meet Depp.
Good job tying it all together.

Peace.

Earl, whose name alone has me wanting for sanctuary under my bed covers, I wish you were Johnny Depp, (who made Chocolat taste even better!)!

P.S. Please DO come for a visit: I Hope They Have Pudding, where an award awaits you!

He has never looked hotter than he did in that film. Funny, I posted a Johnny Depp haiku last Friday with an image from the movie, Chocolat.

Your image is sexy as well...and to think I almost missed this post.

Now you are talking!!! ;-D
Johnny Depp in Chocolate... Yummy!
He is a beautiful man and Chocolate is one of my favourite movies.
You used a good analogy for Hurricane Earl, but it sounds a bit more scary. :-(
Stay very safe!

He makes excuses for rapists. So much for attractive.

fariy - I'm mentioning Johnny Depp with respect to Chocolat and some of his other works. And the fact that he is quite easy on the eyes. I do not know him personally, so do not know if his personality would detract from his attractiveness or enhance it.

And for the record - I do not agree with him or any other Hollywood types who condone or downplay what Roman Polanski did to a 13 year old girl.
