Human Trafficking Awareness Day

Today is Human Trafficking Awareness Day.  I don't usually post anything political on this blog, but this is an important issue to me.   Here are a couple of links - one to an essay  on a blog and the other to the Human Trafficking site.

It is just incomprehensible to me that trafficking humans - mostly women and children - even enters the consciousness of another human being.

Sometimes people need to get political. All that is needed for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing!

Thank you for posting this x

True, Jasmine - but sometimes the political stuff gives me a raging headache and I have to take a break from it. That was another reason for starting this blog. xoxo

Thank you for the links, Delphyne. This is definitely something that needs more attention drawn to it. I suspect many people do not realize things like this happen in our own backyards.

This is something I WASN'T aware of, so it seems the point of this day has paid off. I wouldn't even imagine it could be POSSIBLE in this day and age. =(

incomprehensible and so terribly true. You would think we have evolved...or should have at this point to stop this kind of inhumanity...and yet on and on it goes.

You might find this site interesting.
