Saturday morning in the woods

Kylie and I went for our long walk this morning - it was cool and perfect walking weather. These pictures were taken at 7:45 am - the woods were still dark and the Sun was just beginning to peek through the trees. I love all of the shades of green at this time of day.

I had to change this picture to sepia in order to get the Sun's reflection in the water - it was blindingly beautiful! Of course, the real experience of seeing it was much better than my attempted capture of it!

Wow! These wooods are very dense. Just beautiful. How lucky you are to live so close to such a wonderful place. This is how I picture a fairy tale forest.
Best wishes for lots of wonderful walks.

Thanks, Nancy! These woods were the only thing I missed while living in California - there is nothing like a deciduous forest. The tips of the leaves at the tops of the trees are just beginning to turn color - that's so spectacular when the color is at its peak. I hope I can get some good pictures to post!

Hoping all is well with you on the edge!! xoxo
