Buck shot

On our way home from our morning walk, we saw a few deer browsing alongside the road. Kylie was good and didn't chase - because she was on her leash! She wants so badly to round them up! I will say, though, she's good about coming back when I call her.

I followed this little guy up the county road for a bit - he wasn't too sure of me, but didn't panic at my trailing him.

Until I spied him behind a bush, and even though I assured him I would leave him alone if he let me get one close up, it was no go for him! This picture is a bit blurry, but you get the idea. Sometimes I think I should get a bigger camera - I used a Canon Power Shot SD 630 which is a few years old - but then I think, I'm not a real photographer and I need a new computer more than a camera!

Jayne, if you're familiar with NJ, I'm along the Rahway River.

Awesome photos! Running into deer always feels like your getting some sort of special treat. I'm surprised he let you tail him as long as he did.

Hi, Lyon - I was surprised, too, that he just didn't take off when I started snapping pictures! It is rutting season and my brother in law tells me that males are a bit off during this time!

Thanks for stopping by - hope things are going better!
