French Tarne Garlic

French Tarne Garlic, compliments of Sue and Roger from Sonoma

This is French Tarne Garlic. I never heard of it before I received a box of garlic the other day from my friends, Sue and Roger. There were 3 different varieties of garlic enclosed, the French Tarne being one of them. Sue and Roger are friends with Chester Aaron, a garlic guru living in Sonoma County. He grows 93 different kinds of garlic. I had NO idea that there were that many varieties of garlic!

Update
: I'm even more astonished at the garlic varieties - check out this list!

When I did a preliminary Google search, I found this woman's blog which mentions French Tarne garlic - her menu for that post is incredible! I'm going to enjoy going through her blog not just for the recipes, but for her transplantation from Seattle to rural Oklahoma, something I cannot even imagine!

And here is what sometimes happens at dinnertime when I start cooking and have some wine - I take pictures of the food! These ingredients were part of the mango salsa that we had with salmon. Yum!

Oh, and by the way, I don't like the new version of posting on blogger. It's crazy. Or maybe it's the Mercury Retrograde that we're in. Nothing posts like I want!!! Arghhhhhh!
