Reigning Sunshine

O M G - it is so gorgeous outside as I type this.  I would be outside, but you know what?  I hate the damnable noise from the damnable leaf blowers and the damnable lawn mowers that people ride around on like some suburban cowboy!  I just want to shout, "Shut those things off already and enjoy the gorgeous day!  I want to hear the Wind, I want to hear the birds, I want to hear the silence!"

But, they wouldn't hear me over their noise....

We'll head out to the woods where some quiet prevails....see you later!

What A radiant picture. Will you use that in your mandala?

I completely and totally agree with you. I went outside to bask and revel, and I heard traffic, lawn maintenance, shouted conversations, doors slamming... I suppose beautiful music in its own right, but ... on a day like today, one just wants to enjoy the natural.

Hi, Jasmine - no, not this time! Although I can see it as the Sun in a mandala.

Nice to meet you, Ryan!

Hi, Lyon - I loved having all of the windows opened for the day, too, especially when the noise ceased and desisted.

Sigh ... I am seriously contemplating becoming an owner of one of those damnable leaf blowers. There are just SO MANY leaves and I can't do all the raking even though I do enjoy it. Can't count on the kids because they are in school all day ... I have a lawn mower too. Gas, as I had to leave the manual push mower behind in CA.

Fortunately, it is a small piece of paradise here that needs maintaining, so the noise will not be lengthy. :)

It's such a seasonal thing, those leaves, that a blower is almost a necessity. It was just such a gorgeous day yesterday, the last thing I wanted to hear was all of that noise from blowers and lawnmowers. If it were below freezing, I might not have been so bothered - but it was so beautiful, though and so conducive for being outside that the noise irritated me.

The deciduous trees are gorgeous, but the Autumn cleanup can definitely be challenging! And, of course, one cannot just leave the leaves alone to go back to Earth, providing mulch and cover during the Winter and creating a healthy soil. Nooooooo - clean it all up so it looks pretty.
