Full Corn Moon

"The autumn moon is incomparably beautiful. Any man who supposes the moon is always the same, regardless of the season, and is therefore unable to detect the difference in autumn, must be exceedingly insensitive."

~The Tsurezuregusa, by Kenko (AD 1331)~
Translated by Donald Keene

I thought that today might be the Harvest Moon, but it is October 4th this year - that date is closer to the Equinox than today's full moon.

Thanks, Shelly - I took this last year in November. With the dense foliage around here, I can hardly see the Moon in summer! It's in the late fall and in winter that the Moon is not hiding behind the trees.
